Congratulations are in order for creative director Pierpalo Piccioli & the world renowned Valentino house. For the first time in the Maison’s history, they have introduced their very own monogram! With the help of Steven Meisel & an amazing production team, the Resort 2023 campaign debuted today showcasing the emphamis “V” in a borderless array of products to choose from.
From boots, to bags, to coats, & even eccentric tattoos that cover the whole body, Piccioli uses this campaign to display the pattern through an energetic approach. Translating a feeling of excitement through elements like an electrifying soundtrack, liberated models covered head to toe in the motif, & an artful behind-the-scenes look at the campaign being shot. Valentino’s use of monograms has the potential to break through to an audience of fashion enthusiasts that live amongst the niche of other notorious logo lovers. The long awaited line is officially up on the Valentino website in shades of red & fondant for consumer purchase. With a new chapter of Valentino unfolding in front of us, I look forward to seeing how Piccioli will use this design emblem to continue to promote the house forward.
